Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice

Preamble Members of the Association of Property Professionals (APP) are dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of conduct in the real estate industry. This Code serves as a binding covenant to ensure trust, transparency, and professionalism.

Article 1: Integrity & Honesty Members shall strictly avoid exaggeration, misrepresentation, or concealment of pertinent facts relating to any property or transaction. Members must provide accurate market data to clients and fellow professionals.

Article 2: Compliance with Law Members strictly adhere to the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) and all other applicable laws. Any member found in violation of RERA regulations is subject to immediate expulsion.

Article 3: Client Duty Members pledge to protect and promote the interests of their clients. This obligation to the client is primary, but it does not relieve the member of their obligation to treat all parties honestly.

Article 4: Professional Courtesy Members shall not publicly disparage the business practice of a competitor nor volunteer an opinion of a competitor’s transaction. If their opinion is sought, it should be rendered with strict professional integrity and courtesy.

Article 5: Cooperation Members shall cooperate with other brokers on mutually agreed terms when it is in the best interest of the client. Commission splits and “BXP” (Business Exchange Program) rules must be respected and adhered to.
